Garmin Foretrex 401
The Garmin Foretrex 401 is a high performance, stylish GPS navigator designed especially for outdoor activities. It is a reliable companion for land based activities as well as for water based activities such as sailing, kiteboarding, SUP and more. It is a wrist mounted gadget, easy to wear and operate.
Apart from the GPS function, the Foretrex 410 provides you with other useful functions such as electronic compass and barometric altimeter. With the TrackBack feature, you don’t have to worry about getting lost anymore. It keeps track of your path and displays it as a dotted trail on the screen. You can also save locations in memory as waypoints so you can find your way back easier.
Another cool thing is that you can track your data. You can create and store routes to all of your favorite places and access other helpful information, including a trip computer, sunrise and sunset times and more. To keep track of your trip, connect your Foretrex to your computer with USB to store your waypoints, routes and tracks, or share them wirelessly with another Foretrex 401.
At the same time, the BaseCamp feature lets you view and organize your maps, waypoints, routes, and tracks and send them to your device. It displays topographic map data in 2-D or 3-D on your computer, including contour lines and elevation profiles.
The Garmin Foretrex 401 is waterproof IPX7 compliant, it has a 7.5 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm size and it is powered by 2 AAA batteries. Battery life is approximately 17 hours.
