Body Dragging

The body dragging technique lets the rider feel and control the power of the kite while you are in the water. After you launch your kite, easily head towards the water.

Enter into the water and move away from the shore a bit to avoid obstacles. Than start steering the kite, nice and easy at the beginning and more aggressively afterwards to see how it behaves and how the power increases.

After going downwind head back to the beach. Let the kite do the job and pull you in. Make sure you keep an eye on the other beach and water users to avoid injuring them.

Repeat the maneuvers until you feel you can handle the kite without problems in the water and you are ready to pick up your board.

It is recommended to have and instructor or an experienced rider by your side while you practice body dragging for the first times.
