The aim of the Crazy Fly Raptor is to replace the 2007 Pro Line (which was a big hit in the market by the way).
It features a brand new outline, improved scoop and rocker line (in order to make it faster and have better upwind ability). For decorative purposes the designers used a special effect changing color on the signs and the logo (call it eye candy, but it sure looks good). On the tips medium flex was maintained. The stiffness is focused between the pads in order to provide the most comfortable ride on choppy waters. Flex tips also make the board very aggressive and dynamic in sharp carve turns.

This board brings the comfort for your knees along with its dynamics to give you the smoothest and the most enjoyable ride you can ever get. The Raptor is the all around board that works well in most conditions - from stormy winds to fairly light and choppy, to flat waters.
There aren’t many other boards out there that feature full Nano Carbon construction. Crazy Fly’s original Wood Tech Core II makes sure that a perfect balance is maintained between wood and PVC and thus ensuring the Raptor is one of the lightest boards in the world CNC shaped and hand fine finished 3Dimensional ABS rails in combination with carbon layers create a torsion box, with high torsional stiffness.

Our Opinion

  • It has substantial concave with some flip tips which translate into a smooth ride through choppy waters.
  • It has good upwind tracking thanks to its slightly longer outline.
  • Good for all kinds of riders, regardless of their skill level.
