National Watersports Festival 2014

National Watersports Festival 2014

Period: Sep 5 - Sep 7, 2014
Location: Hayling Island , United Kingdom

The National Watersports Festival has its roots in the National Windsurfing Festival, one of the biggest watersports events in the UK. Starting with 2013, the National Windsurfing Festival was reorganized as the National Watersports Festival and it is UK’s largest multi-discipline watersports events.

The founding principle of the NWF is to provide a fun event with great atmosphere and non-intimidating race format to ensure that any intermediate, recreational water enthusiast can participate, regardless of their ability. Participants can now compete in Kitesurfing, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddle challenges in addition to Windsurfing ones.

The Festival is organized in collaboration with Canoe England in partnership with Portsmouth Watersports Centre, the British Kitesports Association, the British Stand Up Paddle Association and the Royal Yachting Association & United Kingdom Windsurfing Association.

Participants are invited to compete in races for all ages, abilities and types of equipment, attend clinics and coaching sessions, attend gear expos, demo the latest gear, meet and chat with pro riders, take part in cool parties and much more. The NWF is also a charity event, as part of the proceeds will support the Watersports for Cancer Research projects.

The 2014 National Watersports Festival takes place between the 5th and 7th of September, at Hayling Island. To register and find out more details, please visit the official website.
