Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton is Australia's longest open-ocean kiteboarding race and an epic event. It puts the racers’ skills and endurance to the test in a 19 kilometers challenge. It is a marathon race that will gather the best riders in the world.

The race starts at Phillip Point on Rottnest Island and ends at Leighton Beach, Fremantle. This is the longest race of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Competitors will race across the Indian Ocean and Gage Roads to prove their skills.

Here’s what Tim Turner, race director says: “I'm expecting strong interest from interstate and international kiters for this year's race as its reputation grows around the world. […]There will be more than $12,000 in prize money and trophies up for grabs with equal cash prizes for the three fastest male and female kiters, plus, for the first time, prize money for the fastest three Twin Tip Racers.”
