The new 2103 Tyrant EPX is the perfect machine for the traveler who needs an all-in-one board to surf and kite in real world wind and wave conditions. The Tyrant is indeed a one board quiver which offers maximum speed and control and can suit virtually any rider, regardless of his skills.

It has a compact shape makes it very agile, yet very stable and easy to handle. The Tyrant can tackle small to big surf with ease. The pulled in squash tail assures smooth and quick turns and provides a precise control. It also makes the board forgiving in rougher conditions. A deep single to double concave bottom design adds stability and generates a smooth drive.

The board is equipped with a new insert layout for easier strap installation. It comes with pre-installed EVA Surf Pads and Updated Surf Straps. The Tyrant uses a thruster fin setup which provide grip and speed whenever needed. Slingshot has crafted the Tyrant EPX using a EPS core and laminated sandwich structure which offers the perfect balance between strength and weight.

The board also features the Fluid X Vibration Dampening System which reduces vibrations during the ride for a comfortable and smooth feel. This system also prevents unwanted torsion in the board and assures a better flex and response.

The WVX is better. more lively and holds a better drive. holds more power in turns too. The EPX is more forgiving however. performs cool jibes and carves and it's smooth in chop, but not smoother than the WVX.
