Elite Riders Charge Teahupo’o

Teahupo’o is a small village on the south-west coast of Tahiti, in French Polynesia, in the Southern Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most exotic and beautiful holiday spots in the world and it is renowned for its amazing surf breaks and perfect waves. It is well known amongst the extreme surfers who dare to surf it and it hosts the annual Billabong Pro Tahiti surf competition, part of the ASP World Championship Tour.

It is a renowned surfing venue, but very few kitesurfers have tried to surf Hava'e in tow-in's conditions. It seems that the Teahupo’o waves are a bit too much for them. Well, there are a few kitesurfers that do not fear these waves.

You can see some impressive kitesurfing action on the waves of Teahupo’o in the clip below. Elite riders like Mitu Monteiro and Tamatoa Torea charge the surf breaks with their kites and are joined by other water sports top athletes (riding their favorite gear) like Tamatoa Gillot, Boujmaa Guilloul, Tetuatau "BOZO" Leverd, Robert Teriitehau and others.

Enjoy an action packed water sports session. The clip was shot at the beginning of June.
