Gisela Pulido and Alex Pastor on Their Way to the Netherlands
The next event on the 2012 PKRA (Professional Kiteboard Riders Association) World Tour is the O’Neil Kiteboard World Cup that will take place at Scheveningen, Noordstrand, The Hague, Netherlands. The event will start on the 15th of May and will come to a close on the 20th of May.
The best freestyle and racing kiteboarders in the world will come to the Netherlands to take part in the competition and battle it out for a share of the event’s prize purse of €52,000. One rider that’s already on her way to Scheveningen is World Champion Gisela Pulido.
Here’s a pic of Gisela on her way to the Netherlands, released just a few hours ago by her sponsor, Best Kiteboarding.
And here’s another pic released by Gisela herself. She’s alongside fellow Spaniard Liam Whaley, who recently joined Cabrinha’s team.
Another talented rider who is on his way to Scheveningen is Alex Pastor, MINI, ION Essentials, and Airush-sponsored 2010 and 2011 Vice World Champion. Alex announced via his Facebook page that he’s on his way to the Netherlands alongside Reno Romeu and Bruna Kajiya and published the following picture.
Getting back to Gisela Pulido, she has all the chances in the world to claim 1st place in the PKRA event. And since this is the first time that the PKRA comes to Holland, she may go down in history as the first ever champion of this event. Now that’s something to be stoked about.
