GoPro Intros the Hero 4

The GoPro Heroes are the most popular action sports cameras on the market. Over the years, these cameras helped elite athletes and action sports junkies capture their adventures and share them with the fans. Whether we talk about kiteboarding, SUP, windsurfing, biking, sky diving or any other action sport, the GoPros did their duty to capture vivid, stunning imagery and clips.

Well, they will all be happy to know that GoPro has announced the launch of the latest Hero installment, the GoPro HERO4, on the 5th of October. The GoPro Hero 4 is the most advanced GoPro waterproof camera and packs some impressive features.

It comes in Black edition, able to capture clips in 4K30, 2.7K50 and 1080p 120fps resolutions and in Silver edition, able to capture videos in 1080p 60 and 720p 120fps resolutions. Both editions are available in Surf and Music versions. They can shoot 12MP photos in 30fps bursts, they include the ‘Control. View. Share.’ Function and are waterproof up to 40 meters. They also come with a redesigned audio system.

A quick word from Nick Woodman, founder of GoPro about the new Black edition: “A common pain-point is deciding between capturing video or photos of an experience. Each frame of 4K30 video is similar to an 8.3 megapixel photo. The result is that users can simultaneously capture eye-popping 4K30 video and impressive 8.3 megapixel photo-like video stills at 30 frames per second when using Hero4 Black.”
