It’s Salt and Speed Time with Alex and Rob

Salt and Speed 2 is a competition between two of the kings of kiteboarding speed sailing. In Salt and Speed 1 Alexandre Caizergues and Rob Douglas attempted to break the Outright Sailing Speed Record and the American achieved and average speed of 53.40 knots, while the Frenchman 52.45 knots.

Well, Salt and Speed 2 is going to be much faster. Alex trained in South Africa and Quatar, while Rob did the same thing in Costa Rica in order to improve on the current World kitesurfing speed record held by Rob Douglas himself (55.65 knots).

Supported by Ouest Provence, AlpEnergie par GDF SUEZ, Volkswagen Véhicules Utilitaires (Commercial Vehicles), Zenith and Sosh, the two of them are now in Salin-de-Giraud in France, where Salt and Speed 2 runs at full throttle.
