Naish Sites Hacked, Flagged as Malicious

Bad news for fans of kiteboarding, windsurfing and SUP equipment manufacturer Naish: its sites have been hacked and flagged as malicious.

Naish announced on Tuesday, May 15th, that its websites, naishkites.com, naishsails.com, and naishsurfing.com, have fallen victim to a malicious hacker. Because of this Naish had to take them offline while it addressed the problem. It seems that Naish is not done cleaning after the hacker because the sites are still offline at the time of writing this.

Naish delivered this announcement via its Facebook page; the announcement was accompanied by this rather cool image.

Try to access either one of Naish’s three sites with Mozilla’s very popular Firefox browser and you will be greeted with a “Reported attack page!” warning stating that the webpage you’re trying to access has been reported as an attack page.

Search for naishkites.com, naishsails.com, or naishsurfing.com on Google and you will be presented with a “Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!” The warning explains that when Google visited 7 pages on the website, 5 pages results in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. By “malicious software” Google means 2 scripting exploits, 1 trojan, and 1 exploit.

Let’s hope that Naish will get this problem sorted as soon as possible and its websites get back online.
