Registration Open for the 2014 Virgin Kitesurfing Armada

Founded last year by youth charity Snow-Camp as a fundraising event to support their work with young people, the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada is one of the world’s most anticipated kitesurfing festival, an event that aims to bring the kitesurfing community together for two days of action and fun. The festival benefits from the support of eccentric millionaire Richard Branson.

In 2013 the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada brought together hundreds of kitesurfers with a common goal, to break the record for the most kiters riding a downwinder together. And it was a complete success. This year, the event will be bigger and better. It will be a festival style weekend with music, parties and plenty of kitesurfing fun. Organizers aim to break their own Guinness World Record for the 'Largest Parade of Kitesurfers' set with 318 kitesurfers last year. They expect more than 500 riders to take part in the Hayling Island to Pagham, 15 miles downwinder.

This huge event is scheduled to take place on the 13th and 14th of September or on the 27th and 28th of September or on the 11th and 12th of October, depending on the weather conditions. But you can officially register for this amazing festival and book your place for a new kitesurfing world record. To do that, just visit the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada website.
