The Robby Naish Retrospective

Robby Naish is the definition of the accomplished ocean athlete. He is one of the first athletes to have gained long-lasting international fame in the sport of windsurfing and won successive World Championship titles from 1977 to 1979, competing as an amateur. He won his first overall World Championship title at the age of 13. From 1983 to 1987, after the founding of the Professional Boardsailors' Association, later to become the Professional Windsurfing Association (PWA), Robby won the Overall World Champion title.

Back in the 90s, Robby pursued the emerging sport of kiteboarding. He discovered his passion for this new thrilling sport and became a competitor on the scene of kiteboarding. He won the kiteboarding slalom world title in 1998 and the kiteboarding world titles in both slalom and jumping in 1999.

Later, Roby approached the emerging sport of Stand up Paddleboarding, becoming one of the most skilled and talented SUPers in the world.

Robby now operates the Naish brand, famous for high performance and quality windsurfing, SUP and kiteboarding gear it designs and manufactures.
