As you may remember if you've been following the Kitesurf Windriders World Cup, the single elimination kicked off on day two of the competition, but it wasn't completed on that day. It was completed the following day, day three of the Kitesurf Windriders World Cup. Below you can check out the results of the single elimination.

Kitesurf Windriders World Cup Single Elimination Men

  • 2 - Alex Pastor (ESP, Airush)
  • 3 - Marc Jacobs (NZL, Switch)
  • 4 - Sebastien Garat (FRA, RRD)

Kitesurf Windriders World Cup Single Elimination Women

  • 1 - Bruna Kajiya (BRA, Flexifoil)
  • 2 - Joanna Litwin (POL, Nobile)
  • 3 - Sofia Lennartsson (SWE, Ozone)
  • 4 - Clementine Bonzom (FRA, JN)

On day two of the Kitesurf Windriders World Cup, RRD-sponsored Brazilian rider Carlos Madson beat Best-sponsored Austrian rider Michael Schitzhofer and then went on to beat Ozone-sponsored Dominican rider Ariel Corniel. On day three he got to face Youri Zoon – it was one of the closest heats of the day, and even though Zoon crashed and injured his ribs (missed the bar on the second pass when trying to pull a Blind Judge 5), he still won. Carlos Madson shapes up to be a serious contender and will be interesting to see how he fairs in the double elimination.

Youri crashed a second time (a massive crash on a NIS) during his heat against Airush-sponsored Spanish rider Alex Pastor. As a little side note, the judges said that Pastor keeps his kite lower than the other competitors and this lets him create “ one of the nicest styles and maintain perfect flow through his maneuvers.' The heat between Youri and Alex was close as well. Just like with Carlos Madson, Youri emerged the victor. The judges explained that Youri landed all his tricks with a lot of power and cleaner landing than Alex.
