Born on the 29th of March 2001, Tom Bridge is almost 10 years old; he is living proof that it is never too early to get into kitesurfing. According to Tommy’s mom, 3 times Kitesurfing World Cup Champion and the holder of the Guinness book of records for 'fastest person to be towed by a car while pulled along water' Stephanie Bridge, Tommy is full of energy, always trying to jump over something. He’s into biking, skateboarding, and kitesurfing. It must be mentioned that the European Junior Kitesurf Cup held at Saint Pierre la Mer in May 2010, was dominated by the Bridge brothers. Tom Bridge won third place while his older brother Oliver won 1st place. Steph and husband Eric Bridge have three boys: Ollie, Tommy, and Guy. All three of them are passionate kitesurfers. The Bridges run the Edge Watersports kitesurfing center in Exmouth, Devon. Edge Watersports offers training for kitesurfing, windsurfing and other water sports. When asked to pick his top three favorite kitesurfing locations, Tom picked, the Caribbean (because it’s warm and there is much animal life), Cape Verde (because the island country has several kitesurfing spots to offer), and Exmouth (because it’s flat and shallow). Tom’s mom, Stephanie Bridge also picked Exmouth, a port town and seaside resort in East Devon, England, situated on the east bank of the Exe River. Steph picked this location because it is “superb for all sorts of kiteboarding conditions from flat water to crazy choppy or decent waves” and because “it is tidal so always changing which is fun & makes every session different.” Tom says that he wants to be World Champion by the time he’s 12 years old. We’ll just have to wait and see.
