When you think impossible in terms of SUP, you think at incredible short boards. The Starboard Impossible is that type of board. It is part of the Surf/Innovation series introduced by the manufacturer this year and it features a really compact and short profile. Talking about the Impossible, the Starboard team says: “When we introduced the world’s shortest SUP shape 2 years ago, we brought the sport straight into the lineup.”

And they are right, as the Impossible revolutionizes the concept of short board paddling. This board is perfectly fitted for riders with an appetite for surf. It is fast, agile and responsive. The board offers incredible maneuverability, but less experiment riders should be careful, as it has low stability, tracking and gliding abilities. It is a great choice for the dynamic, competitive rider instead. The board uses a flat concave bottom design in the nose, which goes to a flat V. This makes it quite fast and very responsive.

The Starboard Impossible comes in Brushed Carbon and AST Silver options. The Brushed Carbon Impossible is extremely light and responsive. It is engineered using a full deck and bottom wrap of biaxial carbon and PVC foam structure and it uses an Ultra-light Startouch deck grip system. The AST Silver model uses a ¾ 4mm square-groove EVA foam deck pad in the standing area and an aft with light-weight Startouch deck traction on the nose. It is also equipped with mast and footstrap inserts to be used as windsurfing board.
