The Squirt is a new SUP board model introduced by Starboard as part of the Surf/Innovation series released in 2012. Squirt or S.Q.U.I.R.T. stands for Small, Quick, Universally, Interesting, Really Turns. This board is a game changer and revolutionizes the concept of short board paddling.

The compact and rounded shape of the board, featuring a wider nose outline makes it suitable for riding surf beach breaks as well as bigger waves without effort. The board offers good stability and it feels very responsive. It excels when it comes to maneuverability, but has low tracking and gliding abilities. It uses a mono concave nose and middle section bottom design, ending with a flat V in the tail. This design assures good speed and optimal release. It also keeps the board steadier in the waves. Just like the other boards in the Surf/Innovation series, the Squirt is available in Brushed Carbon and AST Silver models.

The Brushed Carbon model has a faster response speed and it is lighter, due to the use of a full deck and bottom wrap of biaxial carbon and PVC foam structure and of an Ultra-light Startouch deck grip system. The AST Silver model offers a balanced strength to weight ratio and it features a ¾ 4mm square-groove EVA foam deck pad in the standing area and an aft with light-weight Startouch deck traction on the nose. It also has footstrap and mast inserts, so it can be used as a windsurfing board if the rider wishes.
