Great Iowa River Race 2014

Great Iowa River Race 2014

Period: Jun 14 - Jun 14, 2014
Location: Iowa City, United States

The Great Iowa River Race is organized by the Iowa Valley Resource, Conservation and Development, group of people working as a non-profit organization that provides unique services to a six county region of Iowa, Poweshiek, Tama, Benton, Linn and Johnson Counties. The organization’s mission is to drive the development and promotion of programs, businesses and organizations that enhance the natural resources and quality of life in the region.

The event was initially dedicated to Canoe and Kayak divisions only, but this year a new Paddleboard division was added. This will make the event bigger and will attract many more people. All paddling sports fans are invited to join. They will race from Iowa City to Hills, Iowa, on a 9-mile course. Awards will be given to first and second place paddlers in each division.

The Great Iowa River Race takes place on the 14th of June in Iowa City. To register and find out more details, please visit the Iowa Valley Resource, Conservation and Development website.
