ISA World Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard Championship 2014

The ISA World Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard Championship is one of the most challenging and rewarding Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard events in the world. It is sanctioned by the ISA and gathers the best riders in the world. More than 240 athletes from 24 countries will compete.

They compete in four disciplines: SUP Surfing, SUP Racing Technical, SUP Racing Distance and Paddleboard Racing Technical and Distance. 48 men and 24 women are featured in each discipline. Within the SUP Racing and Paddleboard disciplines, athletes will be competing in up to three (3) events including the Technical and Distance Races and the Paddle Relay.

There are 11 divisions, as follow: •  2 SUP Surfing Men •  1 SUP Surfing Women •  2 Technical SUP Race Men •  1 Technical SUP Race Women •  2 Distance SUP Race Men •  1 Distance SUP Race Women •  2 Technical Paddleboard Race Men •  1 Technical Paddleboard Race Women •  2 Distance Paddleboard Race Men •  1 Distance Paddleboard Race Women •  4 Paddle Team Relay (Men and Women)

The 2014 WSUPPC is scheduled to take place between the 3rd and 11th of May in Nicaragua. The exact venue of the event is still to be determined. Playa Jiquiliste on the South-West coast and Lake Nicaragua are two possible choices. To find out more details, please visit the ISA website.
