Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge 2012

Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge 2012

Period: Aug 18 - Aug 19, 2012
Location: Hood River, United States

The Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge is one of the premier SUP events in the Columbia Gorge area. This event is presented by O’Neill and gathers some of the best athletes ever and a huge audience. The competitors will battle for $17.000 in cash prizes. This is also a festival which celebrates the SUP culture and active lifestyle.

Last year, the event had a great success. Conner Baxter, who attended the event said: “Absolutely awesome race – I know where I’ll be next August!” and Dave Kalama, who also was present added: “I got longer glides on the downwinder in the Gorge than I’ve ever got on the Maliko run.” This year they will be back and the event will be bigger than ever.

This festival hosts a Distance Downwind Race, a Course Race, a Team Relay Race and a recreational, non-competitive Paddle for the Park race. It also hosts a fundraiser for the new Hood River Waterfront Park, as well as SUP expos and demos, live music, SUP clinics and lessons and more.

The Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge 2012 takes place on the 18th and 19th of August, at the Waterfront Park in Hood River, Oregon. To register for this event and find out more details, please visit the official website.
