Olukai Ho’olaule’a 2012
The Olukai Ho’olaule’a is a friendly and fun event which blends family and cultural activities with elite competition. It is organized and presented by Olukai. Ho’olaule’a is translated as celebration, but it can also be interpreted as an expression of gratitude. This event is open to all Sup enthusiasts, regardless of their age, gender and skill level. Both amateur and pro riders are welcomed.
The Olukai Ho’olaule’a hosts the 8-mile Maliko downwind run, a race dedicated to SUP and OC1 riders. Some of the most prestigious riders in the world are expected to compete this year.
The Olukai Ho’olaule’a is not all about competition. Families and friends come to the Olukai Ho’olaule’a to enjoy canoe and SUP surfing, to attend ancient Hawaiian games, traditional luau, hula, and live music and to have fun.
The 2012 Olukai Ho’olaule’a takes place on the 12th and 13th of May in Maui. To register for this event and find out additional info, please visit the Olukai website.
