Xcel Race Against Skin Cancer 2013

Xcel Race Against Skin Cancer 2013

Period: Feb 9 - Feb 9, 2013
Location: Kaimaina Beach, Hawaii, United States

The Xcel Race Against Skin Cancer is presented by the University of Hawai’i Cancer Center and it will benefit skin cancer awareness. It is a standup paddle sprint race, held along the iconic Waikiki shoreline, in which participants will compete on a short, 2.38-mile course from Kaimaina Beach to just beyond Duke Kahanamoku Beach.

This is the first edition of this event, but officials hope it will become an annual one. As said, all event proceeds benefit the UHCC, which celebrates its new world-class, 150,000 square foot Cancer Center grand opening in late February.

All riders that finish the race will be awarded prizes, through a random prize drawing. Prizes include a 2-night, ocean view stay at the Parc Waikiki hotel, an iBlowfish inflatable surfboard and SUP paddle by C4 Waterman, a SUP board by Surftech, Sunglasses from Maui Jim and more.

The Xcel Race Against Skin Cancer takes place on the 9th of February. To register for this event, please follow this link.
