Airton Cozzolino on Fanatic's International SUP Team

Windsurfing, surfing, and SUP equipment manufacturer Fanatic announced that it added a talented rider to its International SUP team. The rider in question is none other than Airton Cozzolino, the 17 year old rider from Cape Verde. Kitesurfing enthusiasts will remember that Airton won the World Champion title in the 2011 KSP Wave Tour.

To mark the fact that Airton Cozzolino joined its International SUP team, Fanatic published an interview with the talented rider. The interview went like this:

AC:
First time I saw a SUP was in Ponta Preta 4 years ago. It was very curious about this new way of surfing and the following summer my dad bought one for his school in Sardinia. As soon as he arrived I went into the water to try it.

Fanatic: What is your favourite SUP board?
AC:
ProWave 8´2.

Fanatic: And what was your favourite experience on a SUP?
AC:
Entering the barrel of Ponta Preta on a glassy day.

Fanatic: Everybody calls you "Waterman" - what other water sports are you doing besides SUP?
AC:
Kite, Surf, Windsurf, Bodyboard, Wakeboard and Skimboard.
