Connor Baxter Is the 2013 Aragas Magallanes Paddle Challenge Champ
The Aragas Magallanes Paddle Challenge, the first stop of the first stop of the 2013 Standup World Series ended with Connor Baxter winning the first place. It was an action packed and dramatic event. With Kai Lenny taking the win in the long distance, Connor knew that he has to put any drop of energy in the battle taking place in the final day at Puerto Natales.
And he did, winning the sprint racing component, forcing a tie-breaker that would prove to be one of the most dramatic moments of the competition. After a rail and paddle clashing duel, Connor managed to edge ahead of Kai Lenny and claimed the first place. Although Kai came in second, he remains equal first in ratings. It is clear that the Kai Lenny vs. Connor Baxter rivalry will intensify on the road to the 2013 Standup World Series title.
Casper Steinfath also had an impressive performance during the competition, claiming the third place, followed by Zane Schweitzer in the fourth place.
