Jamie Mitchell is the 2012 SUPConnect Man of the Year

Jamie Mitchell needs no introduction to SUP fans, but we will tell you some of the titles he won this year alone: 1st place Long Distance, ISA World SUP Champs, Peru, Winner, Biggest Paddle-in Wave, Australian•Big Wave Awards, Winner,•Waterman of the Year, Australian Surfing Hall of Fame, 1st Place, Long Distance, Waikiki Paddle Festival, 1st Place, Survivor Race, Tahoe Nalu SUP Festival, California, 1st Place, Great Lakes SUP Classic, Michigan, 1st Place, Surftech Jay Race, California, and the list goes on.

His most recent accomplishment is that of winning the 2012 SUPConnect Man of the Year award. After one month of open nomination and a second month of voting, the SUP community has decided that Jamie deserves this title, as he came out on top in a very deep field of incredible athletes. Originating from Australia, Jamie is one of the most accomplished ocean athletes today and this title comes as recognition of his amazing achievements in SUP world.
Jamie joins Chuck Patterson, 2010 SUP Man of the Year, and Antoine Delpero, 2011 SUP Manof the Year on the podium of the world’s best SUP and ocean athletes.
