Kai Lenny and Annabel Anderson Are the 2013 SUP Awards Male and Female Paddlers of the Year

The Historic Casino in San Clemente in California gathered the elite of SUP world last Thursday for the 2013 SUP Awards presented by Body Glove. 2013 was a fantastic year for SUP, and riders all over the globe proved that this sport is one of the best ever.

Well, the pinnacle 2013 SUP year was celebrated by the SUP Awards, a ceremony that recognizes the effort and performance of the best.

Maui’s Kai Lenny took home the prestigious Top Male Paddler of the Year award in the applause of the audience, after an amazing year in both racing and paddle surfing. As a complete waterman, he truly deserves the award.

New Zealand’s Annabel Anderson was voted Top Female Paddler of the Year, after a year of complete domination in standup racing. She practically obliterated her competition in any major event she took part in, so winning the SUP Awards Female Paddle of the Year Title is no coincidence.

Both Kai and Annabel are stoked to win the prestigious award and are ready to welcome the next season. You can check them out at the SUP Awards ceremony in the related videos section below. Enjoy!
