A New Type of GoPro Mount: The Nosebone

Nosebone is a new type of GoPro mount for your surfboard or SUP, invented by Ian McDonnell. By attaching the mount to the bottom of the board under the nose, it allows the camera to be moved forward, resulting in an improved, more complete view of the board and rider.

It is easy to use, affordable and attaches to the board using high-strength tape. During the R&D phase, Most of the design changes were in finding the optimal size of the attachment area - big enough to hold while you surf, yet small enough to release in a collision. Of course, every Nosebone will come with a safety tether to prevent the loss of your camera.

The Nosebone project is still in funding phase on Kickstarter. Hopefully, the camera mount will be available on the market soon.
