SUP Event to Help Homeless Youth this Weekend

On Saturday, May the 19th, starting with 9AM, Strength To Serve (STS) and PaddleFit will host a Stand Up Paddle event to benefit Urban Street Angels (USA), a volunteer-based non-profit outreach who passes out backpacks with life necessities, warm meals, and distributes resources on shelters, youth services, medical care, and job opportunities to homeless young people sleeping on the streets of San Diego, California. The event takes place at the Coronado Boat House and Club Room, 1985 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118 and anyone is invited to join.

STS aims to align coaches, athletes, trainers, and gyms whose mission and culture seek to bring life, hope, and healing by providing unique opportunities to foster community formation through physically challenging training and events that raise money and awareness for life-giving non-profits. The paddle event taking place this upcoming weekend, organized in partnership with PaddleFit, has the goal to raise $18,000, which will be used to purchase 600 packs filled with socks, toiletries, sunblock, deodorant, bottle water, and other life necessities, and distributed to the homeless youth living in the streets of San Diego.
