Tommy Jacobson Starts His Amazing Murrumbidgee River SUP Journey Today

Tommy Jacobson is only 19 years old, but his talent and determination make him a complete waterman and a great athlete. Today, on the 22nd of May, Tommy starts an amazing SUP journey on the Murrumbidgee River.

Murrumbidgee River is the second longest river in Australia, and Tommy will travel 1350 KM on it. During his trip, he will face white water sections, rapids, lake crossings and many other challenges, but he is ready for that.

Tommy Jacobson will travel on his SUP board 35 days while being completely self sufficient and unsupported. He will only pack food, water and some gear. It will be a tough journey, but we are sure that he will manage to complete it without problems.

The Murrumbidgee River trip is part of Tommy’s plan to travel over 6000 KM on a SUP board, by paddle the entire length of Australia’s four longest rivers: Murray, Murrumbidgee, Darling and Lachlan. Tommy’s adventure will prove his great skills, but is also an effort to raise awareness and funds for Camp Quality, an organization which supports children with cancer and for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, an organization which aims to preserve and protect Australia’s threatened wildlife and ecosystems.

Tommy is supported in his adventure by Naish, Werner Paddles, Street SUP, Australian Geographic, Adrenalin Boardstore, Mahellan, Trident and many other top brands.
