Exocet is one of the most appreciated brands in windsurfing industry. By crafting high quality and performance gear, the Exocet team helped shape windsurfing as we know it today. In 2011 Exocet is ready to revolutionize the freeride and slalom disciplined with the release of the new Sting board. The Sting packs plenty of power and it is very fast. It is constructed on a similar pattern as the Warp SL, but it is a bit more user friendly and suited for a wider range of riders and not only pros and champs.

The board features a special shape which fills the gap between freeride, formula and slalom boards and generates a fast and smooth glide. Smaller sizes of the Sting are perfect for rough surf conditions, while larger ones are fitter for lightwind. The extra volume the board packs combined with the wider outline improves early planning performance and maintains a constant speed in and out of jibes. A faster rocker improves the upwind performance and acceleration and also assures exceptional control at all times. The board reacts accurately to rider input and it is much more comfortable to ride and handle than a dedicated slalom board.

The Exocet Sting is available in two versions: Standard Wood and DT. The standard version is crafted using a Glass, Carbon and Wood structure which makes it light and agile, while the DT version uses a Duratech structure which significantly improves durability. The Exocet Sting Duratech can be used in the most extreme surf conditions without problems.

Foot straps are set a bit too wide for beginners, but they are comfortable. It speeds very smooth and I like that. When jibbing you just need to lay back and let the board do the work for you.
