Gaastra has created the Poison to suit any rider in any wind or wave conditions. On flat waters and very light wind conditions the Poison’s shape and outline make it take advantage of every blow to power up and deliver good speeds, and in strong winds and waves the firm luff curve keep it stable and easy to control. The power developed by the sail has a locking option for better performance at bump and jump and wave sailing with the use of the new twin stripe x-ply luff panel. The no cam design with a five battens system combined with the moderate clew height offer huge stability on the water and assures a smooth comfortable ride. The rider is allowed to focus on riding the board without worrying that Poison will take unwanted twists and turns while the triangulated load bearing panel keeps a balanced weight to strength ratio.

For a higher speed and more power the boom of the sail is slightly increased. Gaastra Poison uses a Vario head for smaller size models (4.0, 4.2, 4.5) and a fixed head for larger size sail models (4.7, 5.0, 5.4, 5.8, 6.2).
