For 2010 it seems that RRD pays special attention to children when it comes to windsurfing. Besides the successful Grom Style sail which makes any kid turn to a champ, the new Kid Joy MKIII completes the children sail line developed by the famous manufacturer. If the Grom Style was intended for both beginner and intermediate young sailors, the Kid Joy is especially designed for the surfer who has just picked up the basics of this water sport. The efficiency and versatility RRD has used us to have been brought to a scaled down size sail, perfect for light weight riders. A carefully engineered boom and clew allow the child to properly maneuver and steer the sail and also feel safe and comfortable. The sail can be powered up to reach decent speeds and quick downhaul features are easy accessible at all times. The Kid Joy MKII is kept in balance with the use of a Dacron luff panel which also increases overall stability. The Dacron Body and X-ply window deliver maximum durability in all wind and wave conditions and significantly lowers the sail’s weight. Easy to rig and set up, the sail allows the children to spend more time on the water to learn and develop their windsurfing skills. Due to the unique color styles and graphics the sail is eye catching and easy to see on the water. Flexibility and easy steerig are assured by the use of an adjustable head. Lightweight construction and stability are offered by the use of a one plus one additional batten system.

The recommended mast is Kidjoy Alu 200 and sizes range between 1.5 and 3.5 meters.
