Gaastra has designed an impressive sail line for the 2011 season. Each sail model is crafted according to the highest performance and quality standards and intended to redefine the way windsurfers ride. The new 2011 Matrix is Gaastra’s solution for all your freeride needs. This sail offers a perfect mix of speed, power and control and can handle a wide variety of conditions.

The sail has a special profile which assures intense speed without affecting planning performance. It is very responsive and reacts accurately to any rider input. The refined profile combined with the wider head assures quick acceleration and keep the rider steady at all times. The overall stability is also improved by the no cam, six battens structure. The composite tube battens keep the draft secured and allow the rider to perform spectacular maneuvers without effort.

The Gaastra Matrix has excellent twist control and it is very solid. It is crafted using Clear-X and Teijin fabrics and it is heavily reinforced in critical areas. The sail can handle the toughest surf conditions with ease. A low cut foot optimizes top speed and allows the rider to enjoy a comfortable drive. All Matrix models use a fixed head. The Gaastra matrix is available in three color sizes and it works best when used with Gaastra 75 or 55 SDM masts.
