Almost as reactive and precise as a Severne S1, but curiously luffable and smooth as a Hotsails Superfreak at times (dacron luff panel), the Kaos is really the best of both worlds in one package. 3.7 and 4.2 work surprisingly well on a 400cm (not too...more
KA Kaos 2008
When it has designed the 2008 Kaos, KA thought at two main aspects. The first one was to build a highly versatile sail that will perform remarkable for any wave sailor out there and the second one was to build an extra durable sail that will outstand any wave or wind conditions without much effort or hassle. And it has done an excellent job, since the Kaos is one of the most reliable and solid sails available on the market. The shape outline is enhanced and the sail can power up at the lightest wind blow to run fast and smooth. A mild foil tension combined with a soft leech tension allows the sailor to control the Kaos very well in all wave conditions. The sail can be easily tuned and has a larger range of down hauling, and the power delivery can be adjusted to suit a broad range of riders and conditions. Improved batten pockets and a solid top batten allow the Kaos to be extremely stable and solid out on the water. A five battens configuration combined with a fixed or adjustable head system is used to provide extra maneuverability, as well as fast turns and rotations.
The most important addition is that is really puts the rider in total control, it has a direct and responsive steering and permits focus on actually riding the board rather than worrying about keeping the sail in place. Extra durability is achieved through the use of a no monofilm construction. Instead, X-ply fabric has been chosen to lower the weight significantly, yet assure maximum strength. Kevlar and Dacron reinforcement give the KA Kaos a very long life cycle.
The KA Kaos is available in 3.7, 4.2, 4.7, 5.0, 5.3 and 5.7 meter sizes and can be customized in four color schemes.
