Kiteboard Features
The Apex is a new addition to the Airush twin tip family. It is a board designed with the needs of the aggressive freeride in mind and offers no compromise performance. If big airs and fast speeds are your game, than this is the right board for you. The Apex is fine tuned to accommodate intermediate and advanced aggressive riders that want to experience the best of freeride world.
The Airus Apex pushes the boundaries of freeriding to new limits. A few of the key features that make it such an efficient freeride kiteboard are increased stiffness plus excellent stability and early planing performance. Actually, these features also provide a good freestyle potential. The compact and freeride oriented shape makes extremely dynamic, yet easy to control in various conditions. The wider profile increases overall stability and boosts its early planing and upwind performance.
This Asymmetrical 3D Shape makes it easy to control and comfortable to drive even in chop. The higher rocker assures a smoother speed plus good acceleration. The Special Venturi Concave bottom shaping provides superior stability and grip, thanks to its ability to channel water away from the fins and concentrate the flow through the center of the board in the tail area.
The Apex is built using the Airush Multizone Biotech construction. This construction is based on a vertical wood core sandwich made of dual density Balsa and Poplar core with ABS rail and tips. It assures optimal strength and creates a very responsive center section. A tri axial laminate wrapping adds extra durability. Full Carbon fiber top and bottom layers increase stiffness.
Airush’s special Carbon Torsion Control System allows you to ride the board flatter for increasing comfort and speed by using bias oriented Carbon fiber along the heel edge and reducing the amount of torsional flex in this area. This tech works in conjunction with the Independent Flex Tips to enhance stiffness differentiation between heel side and toe side edges. This allows allow the toe side edge to remain softer for carving and toeside turns.
