The 2012 Cabrinha boards have finally arrived and they are ready to take the kiteboarding world to a new level. Each board model went through a serious process of research and development and was optimizes to suit specific styles and riding skills. The 2012 Cabrinha Caliber is one of the most versatile freeride and freestyle boards today. It is enhanced by a new technology featuring innovations like Carbon Tip-to-Tail, 3D Top, Quad-Concave and several other tweaks meant to make the board work with and for the rider. The board is fast and powerful, yet stable, reliable and fun to ride.

Freestyle and freeride are the most popular kiteboarding disciplines and gather a huge number of fans. Especially for those freeride and freestyle enthusiasts, Cabrinha has released a new version of the Caliber. Previous caliber models were very successful, but the new 2012 version is even better. The board has a hydrodynamic profile and a carefully optimized outline which generates a fast and smooth glide.

The board is quite powerful and it can be used by competition level riders without problems. At the same time it is easy to control and very stable so it can also offer a fun cruise. A great thing about the Cabrinha Caliber is that it can be used hooked or unhooked, depending on the rider’s choice. The board uses a low rocker which assures improved early planning potential and gets the rider riding upwind fast and easy. The board packs plenty of pop, so it is perfect for extreme riders looking to perform spectacular moves.

The board is not only perfect for freestyle and freeride, but it also has awesome wakestyle potential. The quad concave bottom design provides excellent power release and adds control in the tip area. This design also increases the grip and minimizes the shock impact on rough landings. The carbon tip-to-tail construction makes the board very responsive in all wind and wave conditions and adds extra pop.

Cabrinha has crafted the Caliber using a full Paulownia wood core and ABS sidewalls. This construction makes the board very light and durable. Another advantage of this structure is that it generates the perfect flex pattern for freestyle and freeride. If you are looking for a versatile competition kiteboard to power up your rides, the Caliber is the right choice.
