The new surfboards from Cabrinha are ready to shred the waves. All of these boards went through an extensive R&D process and now they offer excellent performance. And if you are looking for performance in light winds and small waves, you need the Subwoofer. The Subwoofer will get you going fast and will offer you a fun session in marginal winds.

The Subwoofer can be regarded as a crossover platform. That is because it can be used for kitesurfing as well as for surfing. When there is no wind to power your kite, but the waves are present, the Subwoofer is a perfect surfboard. It is fun to ride, it can be easily fit into pockets and performs very nice turns. But when there is a bit of wind and you fell like pumping up your kite, the Subwoofer is an excellent lighwind kiteboard.

The board packs a bit of extra volume for increased lightwind and surf performance. The wider shape makes it extremely stable in small waves. The special tail shape assures good turning control and excellent release. The board is equipped with a quad fin setup which provides good acceleration and better speed. It features a tuned flex for optimal performance. Even if it is a lightwind board, the Subwoofer does not feel heavy or slow. It is agile and has impressive downwind and upwind potential.

Cabrinha offers the Subwoofer in two technologies: EPS Sandwich and Signature. The Signature model is very light due to the light core structure, while the EPS model is extremely durable, due to the use of an Eco Cork and Bamboo structure. Both models feature metallic rail treatment.

I think the new construction techs are more expensive. Everyone is looking to design lighter and more durable boards with the perfect flex/stiffness ratio. The composites and process probably cost more.
