The 2011 JN kiteboard lineup is intended to cover all styles, skill levels and weather conditions. It is not easy to do that, but the JN team spent a lot of effort to develop each board model according to the riders’ specific needs. The new JN King’s Size has a specific purpose: to get you running pretty fast when the wind barely blows. It has a special profile and it is tweaked by the JN team to get you going in the lightest wind conditions. Apart from impressive lightwind performance, the board packs a good pop and it is very easy to handle. Unlike the other lightwind boards which keep you tight to the water surface, the King’s Size offers nice jumps and lifts.

Kiteboarding is one of the greatest extreme sports ever. But there are times when you pack your gear, arrive at the beach and find out that the wind conditions are less than perfect. Lightwind conditions can keep you on the beach for a long time, but this is not the case if you have the JN King’s Size by your side.

The board’s special design will get you going when all the other riders sit on the beach and wait for the wind to pick up. The board features a larger profile which helps it take maximum advantage of the lightest wind blow and of the water flow. This way it generates a smooth and fast glide across the water. It is enhanced by a “negative” outline which makes it quite dynamic and assures smooth edge to edge transitions.

The flat rocker assures excellent upwind and planning abilities and allows the rider to reach a nice top speed.  The great thing about the JN King’s Size is that it is very easy to handle. It is a perfect choice for beginners who want to ride in light wind. The more advanced rider can perform nice tricks and enjoy a faster speed, while the board is extremely steady and reliable. If the wind picks up, there is no problem, because the board is still stable and predictable. The flat bottom design improves the acceleration and top speed in light breezes, while the tucked under rails provide a precise and accurate control. The board has a constant flex, so it feels very stable and gives you the confidence to perform any maneuver.

JN has built the King’s Size using a Paulownia Wood core and fiberglass reinforcements. This way the board is very light and durable at the same time. This structure also provides the constant flex needed for good lightwind performance. If you want to enjoy a nice kiteboarding session when the wind is almost absent, you must pick up the JN King’s Size.
