Naish Alana 2014
Kiteboard Features
The Alana kiteboard is designed especially for the ladies and girls who love freeride and freestyle. It also has a great wave potential. It is not just a regular board shrink to a smaller size. Every aspect of the board, including the size, outline and flex, is optimized to suit the needs of female kiteboarders. The Alana is perfect for every day rides as well as for competitions.
Designed with the needs of competitive female kiteboarders in mind, the Naish Alana twin tip opens a new world for freestyle, freeride and wave performance. As the guys at Naish say, it is the most advanced woman-specific board to date. The board has a compact and hydrodynamic shape which provides superior early planing and upwind abilities. It features a moderate flex which makes it perfect for medium riding speeds and hitting obstacles.
A powerful rocker line adds speed and provides a solid pop plus a dynamic feel. Special 3D step rails are used to assure a perfect grip. A flex torsion control system is implemented to increase stiffness in both the axial and torsional axis and enhance control. Beveled edges assure smooth landings and a flat center section to single concave improves landing performance as well as directional stability. Off-centered double concave to quad channels provide a superior grip and drive.
The Naish Alana is crafted using a Supreme pop wood core for enhanced reflex proprieties, high tensile grade laminates for better durability, Off-axis carbon X layers to increase torsional stability and special impact reinforcement zones that diffuse shocks throughout the board for added strength.
