Fluid Ego V5 2014 Kite Review
Kite Features
The idea that stands behind the Ego V5 is a perfect balance between a C shape performance and SLE comfort and ease of use. This is a modern kite that adapts to the rider’s style to deliver optimal performance. The Ego is aimed towards the intermediate and advanced rider. It is a kite that provides excellent unhooked potential and it’s perfect for new school maneuvers.
As the guys at Fluid say, the Ego V5 is kite adjustable to the demand of the rider, a kite for the next generation type of rider. And it is the weapon of choice for many freestyle enthusiasts that want to progress fast or take part in competitive events.
The Ego provides you with three options to adjust the turning speed and bar pressure and two more options to change the angle of attack. The rider can choose between high turning speed and low bar pressure, medium turning speed and medium pressure and slow turning speed and high bar pressure. Thanks to this multiple settings, the kite can also be used for freeride and not only for freestyle.
The bridled C design provides more aggressive power, as well as optimal control. The compact smart bridle has two main settings C-Shape or high depower, so the rider can fine tune the kite to match his skills.
The Ego is built using a special F-Tech Frame technology, based on a four square Dacron frame. This frame makes it very stable and crisp and prevents flutter. The kite generates solid pop and has a direct control. It is also easy to depower and relaunch and easy to handle in difficult conditions.
