Naish Fly 2015 Kite Review
Kite Features
The Fly is one of the best lightwind freeride kites today. It is designed to turn marginal winds into fun sessions and allow you have plenty of fun when all of the other riders sit on the beach and wait for more consistent winds. High and low end control, sheet and go capabilities, easy relaunch and excellent upwind abilities are just a few of the features that make it a perfect machine to enjoy a perfect session on light wind days.
The Naish Fly will get you first on the water in marginal winds and keep you there as long as you want. It is not just a simple lightwind kite. It is very agile; it turns fast and has the power to boost big airs, so it is perfect for fun freeride sessions. It is also not a huge machine. It has a compact shape which makes it easy to maneuver and very responsive.
The compact-c shape blends the pop and lift of a C-kite with the power, control, and turning of a swept leading edge kite. At the same time, the two strut design assures a lighter overall weight and superior low end power delivery. Special mini battens improve stability at a lower angle of attack. The increased leading edge curvature in the wing tip area reduces drag and enhances relaunch.
A locked in center of effort improves stability and reduces turbulences in shifting winds. The profile’s depth and shape evolves along the airfoil creating an evolutive profile, which reduces back stall, improve stability and power generation and provides faster turning.
