Naish Torch 2015 Kite Review
Kite Features
The Torch is built especially for the freestyle enthusiasts who demand no compromise performance. It provides solid power and accurate control in a wide range of conditions and provides you with precision response for hooked and unhooked riding. It is the favorite kite of 2014 KOTA Champion, Kevin Langeree. Here’s what he says about the new Park: “The new, stiff profile really makes the Torch better than ever before!”
The Naish Torch is engineered to deliver pro freestyle performance for the advanced and technical rider who is always evolving. It is a competition grade pack that packs lots of power, but it is also easy to drive and reliable in all conditions.
The Torch features a powerful C-Shape design which provides superior pop and lift. The non-swept outline aligns the center of effort with the tow point for perfect loading through the canopy, generating power in turns. An increased angle of attack for the wing tips keeps the kite more engaged, providing fast turns. The Torch uses the Fusion 5-Line Platform which has the 5th line locked in one direction, at the split of the front line, so that it can only be pulled from the rider’s side. This allows for quick depower.
The profile’s depth and shape evolves along the airfoil, creating an evolutive profile. This profile provides a more solid power delivery, reduced drag and faster turning. A canopy stabilizer is used to reduce flutter and wear. The Torch also offers a direct and precise steering. It is filled with air via an easy, single-point, octopus inflation system.
