Kite Features
The Rebel is back to boost your freeride sessions to a new dimension. The guys at North tweaked and tuned the new 2014 model to make sure it offers you unbeatable performance in virtually any conditions. And they succeeded. The 2014 rebel offers everything you need, from awesome low end and depower to unmatched handling and big air. It is no wonder that the Rebel is one of North’s best selling kites.
The Rebel is a kite with lots of fans. Well, all of them, plus new ones will love the new 2014 North Rebel. The high performance that they are used to is taken to new levels. The Rebel is a kite that accommodates itself to the riding conditions and can be handled without hassle by all riders, from beginners to experts. It features a loaded 5th line design, based on a “nose line” with constant tension which assures reactive steering when the kite is powered or depowered plus a crisp and direct bar feel.
Special nylon Cam Battens are used to enhance stability and reduce drag. They create a deeper and rounder profile which makes the kite more powerful and reduces stall. Due to this design, the Rebel has quite a nice drift ability and can be used in waves. The Adaptive Tip technology allows users to easily change the sheeting force and turning performance through a simple back pigtail adjustment. They can customize the kite to suit their specific riding style.
The Trailing Edge Force Spread feature allows for the tension force to be distributed in the right directions in the canopy to generate optimal power and prevent material wear. Special Relaunch Bungees at the kite tip enhance relaunch by preventing tangling and keeping the lines from going over the top of the kite during relaunch. The kite is designed to offer unbelievable hangtime and low end, fantastic stability and unmatched upwind performance. It also offers a total control in all possible conditions.
Control Bar
