North Vegas 2011 Kite Review
Kite Features
The Vegas has been a very successful kite over the past few years. North team has blended both power and control into this flying machine to make sure it can satisfy the needs of the most demanding riders. The 2011 model is built on the same concept that power and reliability make a kite offer plenty of performance. The new North Vegas features new tweaks and several improvements which make it perfect for freeride and freestyle. The North Progression 11 design assures that the kite is simply to use, user friendly and has all the power it needs for extreme tricks and moves. The Leading Edge, strut configuration, bridle connection and not only are optimized and reinforced, so the Vegas is not only ultra efficient, but robust as well. The kite is operated by a five line setup to assure plenty of control as well as extra safety for the rider.
The 2011 kite lineup by North is quite impressive. Their team has put a lot of work and effort in the process of research and development to make sure that any rider can have a kite specifically created for his needs. The 2011 North Vegas features a C-Kite shape and a refined profile which allows it to glide smoothly through the air. At the same time the kite delivers plenty of power, so any freerider or freestyler can perform easy any move and trick.
The kite is powered up by a multi pump system, so the rider can inflate the kite in just seconds. Once the Vegas is launched it feels very light and offers a massive and constant traction. At the same time it turns fast and even at top speed it behaves predictable and it is easy to maneuver. The rider can perform any hooked or unhooked maneuver without any effort and totally safe. The five strut configuration with a center strut makes the kite very stable and predictable and increases the turn speed. Although it is a powerful C-kite, the Vegas has impressive depower abilities and the rider can totally depower it quickly and easy whenever he wishes. Also, the relaunch ability of the kite is significantly improved due to the Relaunch Bungees feature. The Le Bridle connection is very durable, the leading edge is built from 100% Dacron, and the canopy has Kevlar patches reinforcements. Although the kite is extremely solid and has a bullet proof construction, it is light and easy to handle at the same time.
To assure a perfect weight to strength ration, North has used a Teijin Technoforce D2 structure for the Vegas. Fast, powerful and user friendly at the same time, the North Vegas is a great choice for freeride and freestyle sessions. The kite is available in 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 14 meters sizes and three unique color schemes.
