Edge Race Cup Is Back for 2011, BKSA Announces

It seems that last year's Edge Race Cup was a success, such a success that it is back for 2011. The BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association) announced that the Edge Race Cup 2011 is now part of the BKSA South West Race Series and will be held on the 11th and 12th of June off Exmouth Seafront.

Sponsored by Atass Group, the event is open to any rider who wants a shot at the £1000 prize money. The riders will be sorted by categories of course. There will be various categories – for twin tip boards, for directional boards, and for race boards. There contestants will compete in slalom races in short distance course racing, and long distance races.

Apart from the £1000 prize money, other prizes will be up for grabs. The BKSA did not mention what those prizes are, it only said they will be offered by North, Slingshot, Flexifoil, Xcel, O’Neill, and Body Glove.

Racing is all very nice and winning prizes is nice as well. But partying is even nicer. You don’t have to worry about that. The BKSA announced that a BBQ and a “fantastic party” will be organized as well.
