Kiteboarding Denmark (KBDK) Joins IKA

The IKA (International Kiteboarding Association) has recently announced that a new organization has decided to come on board. And more to the point, KBDK (Kiteboarding Denmark), the national association for Danish kitesurfers, joined the IKA.

The reason why KBDK joined the IKA is to support the association and to give Denmark and Danish kitsurfers the opportunities that membership of the IKA provides. The KBDK hopes that now that it is an IKA member, Danish events will show up on the IKA event list.

KBDK focuses on securing continued access to kitesurfing spots around Denmark. This is a task that requires collaboration and communication with numerous associations and conservation authorities.

This 2011 KBDK in association with the Danish sailing union, established a national kitesurf training program. As part of the program, the first courses will be held in the spring and summer of 2012.
