BSUPA National Championships 2012

BSUPA National Championships 2012

Period: Oct 13 - Oct 14, 2012
Location: Cornwall, United Kingdom

The BSUPA National Championships are organized by the British Stand Up Paddleboard Association and hosted by Extreme Academy. The fourth edition of the BSUPA National Championships brings a new challenge for the competitors: the Battle of the Paddle competition. This competition includes both paddling and beach running. Apart from the Battle of the Paddle, the BSUPA National Championships hosts different events with divisions for men, women and juniors. The participants will compete in wave riding events, performance surfing contests, in a long-distance ocean paddle race and in a Wave Expression competition. They will also battle for the Watergate Bay Waterman title.

Here’s a word from Richard Marsh, event organizer, about the event: “This year we have a really strong, competitive fleet from all over the UK. Each member of the GB team who represented the country in the recent world championships in Peru will be competing in Cornwall. Watergate Bay is iconically Cornwall and provides world class conditions for stand up paddle boarding. It is perfect for both competitors and spectators alike and the support that we get from the Extreme Academy and Watergate Bay Hotel is second to none.”

The BSUPA National Championships take place on the 13th and 14th of October in Watergate Bay, Cornwall, UK. To register for this event and find out additional details, please visit the official website.
