The Northeast Paddling Festival is brought to you by the Northwest Marine Trade Association, and it is the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. It gathers paddle sports retailers, manufacturers and athletes for a fun and entertaining festival.

The Northeast Paddle Festival is the host for the Northwest Paddling Challenge organized by Mountain to Sound Outfitters and Salmon Bay Paddle. This is a race that takes place on a 6 mile (long) and 2 mile (short) course on the shores of Lake Sammamish State Park. It is open to kayakers, Stand Up Paddleboarders and Outriggers. The long course race consists of three laps.

Apart from this challenge, the Northeast Paddling Festival hosts concerts and parties and a huge expo. More than 60 paddle sports businesses offering canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, paddling equipment, accessories and gear will be present.
