Daniel Hughes Challenges the Wedge

‘The Wedge’ on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, California is a challenging venue for experienced surfers, skimboarders and bodyboarders. The waves here are often reaching 10 meters and are very powerful. One might say that this is not the place for any SUP action.
Well, Daniel Hughes, a stand up paddler known for getting into extreme places with a paddle in his hands might disagree. Daniel considers the waves here a perfect challenge for him. And a few days ago, he set out to conquer the Wedge. And so he did.
