Help Raise Funds for the ‘Lady Ganga’ SUP Documentary

Back in 2011, the story of Michele Baldwin, a 45-year-old mother of three who paddled the Ganges while battling cervical cancer, left quite an impression in the SUP and water sports community. In order to raise awareness of HPV and cervical cancer she set on a journey to finish the 700-mile expedition on the Ganges.

Unfortunately, soon after her story was published, Michele succumbed to her illness. But, as it was natural, her story lived on. Michele’s adventure on the Ganges gained worldwide attention at the 2012 SUP Awards, as it won the Expedition of the Year title.

Today, filmmaker Frederic Lumiere in collaboration with co-producer Mark Hefti, are continuing Michele Baldwin’s legacy with a documentary film called Lady Ganga. In order to promote and distribute the film, the producers have initiated a fund raising campaign on Kickstarter. You can help their efforts too. All of the proceeds from the film will directly benefit the Michele Baldwin Memorial Fund, which helps the fight against cervical cancer.
